Autumn 2017 Stitch Along – What You Need

The autumn 2017 MadXStitchalong will be starting this month, on September 22nd.  That’s a ways off, I know, but this one has a big floss list.  If you’re not a floss hoarder, you may want some extra time to get everything.

Like the summer stitchalong, this one uses some of DMC’s ‘new’ colours (and in all honestly, you can expect most, if not all future stitchalongs to use them).  If you don’t want to get the floss pack, there are suggested substitutions.  That said, should you use the substitutions, you can expect your finished design to look a little different.

You may want to grid your fabric for this piece.  It’s another small, single-page full-coverage piece.  It’s a little bigger than the last one, but there’s a little more detail to it, and I couldn’t get it any smaller.  Your grid size will be 75Wx42H.  If you’re unsure about how to grid your fabric, there is a video tutorial here.

This stitchalong will last 20 days, with a new pattern being released every other day.  There are ten patterns in total, each two pages (one for the pattern, and one for the key).
