We’ll be doing a stitch along from July 22-31. The pattern dimensions will be 60×46 stitches, and can be done on any stitch count you like. The theme is something bright and summery. On average, each day should comprise of about an hour of stitching. Some days will be lighter, and some will be heavier, but it should take around ten hours total to complete.
Gridding your fabric is highly recommended. You may find the pattern difficult to follow otherwise.
Now, onto the most important part. What floss do you need? The pattern has 25 colours, as listed below:
- 3888 (can substitute 3740)
- 3890 (can substitute 3846)
As the last two are only available in the “new colours” pack, recommended substitutions are also listed. You should not need more than one skein of each colour. If you’re using a lower stitch count (fewer than 14 stitches per inch), or more than two strands at a time, you may want two skeins of 310 and 809.
The first pattern will go up the morning of July 22. The pattern fits onto a single page, with the colour key separate – if you choose to print out your pattern in hard copy, you will be printing 20 pages.
